Welcome

Since the nineteenth century the Catholics of this area belonged to, and were served by, the Parish of St Edward the Confessor in Park End Road, Romford.

With the division of Romford Parish, Collier Row became a parish in its own right in 1953. From then on, the community worshipped in what is now the Parish Hall until the present church was completed and opened in 1965.

As in any Catholic parish, the Eucharist is at the centre of our life; we are particularly pleased that this community is dedicated to the mystery of the Lord’s Body – Corpus Christi.

We hope this website will give you an insight into our life here at Corpus Christi. We extend an invitation to you to join us. And we invite you to pray for us as we seek to share the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit in this parish of Collier Row.

The church is usually open daily until 5.00 pm (on Saturdays until after the Vigil Mass at 6.30 pm).

We pray for the willingness to make present in our world
the love of Christ shown to us in the Eucharist:

Lord Jesus Christ,
we worship you living among us
in the sacrament of your body and blood.
May we offer to our Father in heaven
a solemn pledge of undivided love.
May we offer to our brothers and sisters
a life poured out in loving service of that kingdom
where you live with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Opening Prayer, Feast of Corpus Christi, Roman Missal 1970
